HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL & SHAN

We made a gin just for you!

The Great Expedition Gin!

Will and Shan had a number of flats in London, but only one where this couple became a family. 53A Silvester Road, East Dulwich was Charlottes first home, and in great British tradition, The Great Expedition at the end of Silvester Road was the Family’s first pub.

Many memories were made in this iconic establishment, from bottomless brunches fueled by endless Mimosas (or Bloody Mary’s for Shan), to afternoon catch-ups over a couple of craft beers and a few vinos (and maybe a cheeky dart when significant others weren’t looking).

The local pub is a UK institution that any Kiwi who has lived in London will miss, and The Great Exhibition was a good one. So, this special edition celebrates the start of the Rendell Family in East Dulwich, England, through on of the great things about Britain, the local pub. And who knows, maybe one day this fine gin from The Cambridge Distillery Co. will be available there for others to try?

Made in secret… which is hard when the distillery is basically your garage…

The spirit had to be run out to the car…

Hand selected Juniper Berries…

Finding ways to move bottles & products…

Sorry… I had to be sneaky

It wasn’t easy making it under you noses… Some cleaver deception was needed and lots of “playing dumb” when being asked “What are you running tonight? Why all the bubble plates”…. ummm??

An appropriate air of detached, vacant, indifference was required when answering any questions… :)
