Vodka means water in most Slavic languages, and there is no escaping the importance of good water when making great vodka.
Here in Cambridge, we are lucky enough to have one of the purest water sources in the country on our doorstep. The Blue Spring has filtered slowly through layers of volcanic rock, a process that can take up to 100 years.
We combine this exceptionally pure water with our own distilled spirit to create Velvet Vodka.
The result is exceptionally smooth and clean, with a soft, almost velvety mouthfeel that makes it equally at home in a cocktail or poured straight from the freezer.
It has also picked up a few medals along the way, including Double Gold at the 2024 NZ Spirit Awards and Gold in 2026.
